My ISP blocks port 25 and I can't send email. What can I do?
In an attempt to control unsolicited email (spam), some Internet service providers block port 25. If you experience technical problems sending email, then you need to use port 587 when sending via Web Hosting Spot's SMTP server.
To make this change, please select from the list of supported clients:
Microsoft Outlook 2002 (XP) and 2003
Microsoft Outlook 98, 2000, and Outlook Express
Netscape 7.1
Eudora
IncrediMail Xe
Microsoft Outlook 2002 (XP) and 2003
From the "Tools" menu, select "E-mail Accounts."
Select "View or Change existing email accounts" and click "Next."
Select your mail account and click the "Change" button.
Next, click "More Settings."
Click the "Advanced" tab.
Next to "Outgoing server (SMTP)," change port 25 to 587.
Click "OK," then click "Next" and "Finish."
Microsoft Outlook 98, 2000, and Outlook Express
From the "Tools" menu, select "Accounts."
Select your mail account and click the "Properties" button.
Click the "Advanced" tab.
Next to "Outgoing server (SMTP)," change port 25 to 587.
Click "Apply," then click "OK" and "Close."
Netscape 7.1
From the "Windows" menu select "Mail & Newsgroups."
From the "Edit" menu select "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings."
Scroll down and click "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" on the left side.
On the window to your right, enter 587 next to "Port."
Click "OK."

Select your mail account and click the "Properties" button.
Click the "Advanced" tab.
Next to "Outgoing server (SMTP)," change port 25 to 587.
